There is no God
I would have to say that I am fairly confident that there is no god. I personally take into account that there is no proof of any cosmic creator so therefore I am about 99.9999% sure that there is no god. Even science does not allow for 100%. Space is not 100% vacuum, even water can only be purified to 99.999999999 % or so. I’m just as positive that the gods as described in the bible,...

The Universe Science and You
I feel safe from the empty void and chaotic nature of space. I know because of science the earth keeps us safe….It is like the universe screams in your face, “You know what I am, how grand I am, how old I am, can you even comprehend what I am? What are you compared to me?” and when you know enough science you can just smile up at the universe and reply “Dude I am...

Religion the Mistaken Belief
Daniel Dennett talks about in his book “Breaking the Spell.” He argues that the essential baselessness of religion, the fact that it’s unsupported by solid evidence or logic, the fact that it’s essentially a shared opinion rather than a body of knowledge….actually makes people cling to it more tightly, defend it more vehemently, get more upset and angry when the ideas...

The God Poem
God Who is he or she? Is God real? Which God or Goddess is real? Is God imaginary? Can you touch God? Can you hear God? Can you sense God? Can you see God? Seems Religions worship Gods Why? Because Gods demand worship? Because God is Good? Because God is Evil? Because God is Law? So Killing in a Gods name ok? Should you kill yourself for a God? Should you kill your child for a God? Should you...

One of many funny inconsistencies in the bible
Jesus says God is going to hell. Apparently God is going to hell. In Matthew 5:22 Jesus says: “But whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” And in Luke 12:20 “But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee.” In other words, Jesus says that he who says “thou fool” shall be in danger of hell fire, and...

Thoughts on the Religious
I strongly believe they are victims its not their fault. Religious indoctrination is very hard for many to overcome. I love people, everyone no matter what you are. Hate isn’t some thing atheist or anyone else for that matter should show to a fellow human being. All we can do as atheist is keep speaking up and help the atheist movement grow stronger. Showing fellow humans the error of...

The Religion virus mutation
Religion mutated over time and became more sophisticated, holy men figured out what worked and what didn’t. What makes people obedient and what causes rebellion. What idea people can easly escape and what haunts them. Ideas, holy books, preachers that make them so scared or blind and make them feel they have to pray or kill. Now more then ever we need a vaccine, now more then ever we need to...

Young Atheist of the world
The beauty of the natural world is far greater in reality than it is in myth. Do you realize how lucky you are to break free from the bondage of religion? You have a lifetime to see, admire and study the wonders of nature for what they are. You get to see the universe for the beautifully complex natural occurrence that it is, all of it. As humans, we are the only primates to have evolved a complex...

Atheist have better sex study shows
atheists and other non-believers, as a whole, experience a lot more satisfaction in their sex lives than they did when they were believers. They feel much less guilt about their sex lives and their sexuality. The sexual guilt instilled by so many religions tends to fade, and indeed disappear, when people leave religion — much more thoroughly than you might expect. And according to the...

Religion is Dead Weight
In my opinion religion was more so a failed attempt at science, now however it is just a dead weight that doesn't promote thinking for your self and just creates division. I mean a little of what religion preaches seems nice in a weird way, like after death you get "Everything you wanted in life." A lot of what the church was teaching to me at a young age seemed very silly to me, and I questioned it at every turn, which wasn't a good thing to do in church. I researched on my own when I got older and took what I learned from history class about mythology and in science class about evolution in school. After that it wasn't hard to put the pieces together...when are humans are going to get rid of this dead weight called religion?
